Position: Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Radiation Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will utilize ionizing radiation-producing equipment to administer therapeutic doses of radiation as prescribed by physicians for the treatment of diseases, primarily cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific areas of patients' bodies.
• Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions, documenting treatment areas, radiation dosages, equipment settings, patient reactions, and total radiation received.
• Operate radiation-generating equipment to ensure accurate, safe, and efficient delivery of radiation doses.
• Complete simulation and localization procedures as assigned.
• Document treatment parameters in the patient's medical record.
• Schedule treatment and simulation appointments while maintaining treatment schedules and statistical records.
• Adhere to radiation safety measures in line with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities as assigned.
• Fabricate immobilization and treatment devices as needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions and maintain a log of necessary repairs.
• Communicate patient status to nursing and medical staff during therapy sessions.
• Maintain a professional and supportive attitude towards staff, patients, and their families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy.
• Current State of California license in Radiation Therapy Technology (CRT-Therapy).
• Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Completion of annual requirements, including Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Work Schedule:

This position requires an 8-week commitment, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, located in Vacaville, CA.
