Job Summary

The position involves the delivery of nursing practices based on the latest evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care. The goal is to ensure safe and excellent individualized patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status, provided care, and treatment plans.
• Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure the safest delivery of medications to patients.
• Perform Point-of-Care electronic documentation for each patient's assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluations of care rendered.
• Provide patient and family-centered education focused on optimizing health, wellness, and disease management.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.

Skills

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of six (6) months of relevant nursing experience.

Education

Required Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).

Preferred Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA).
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Schedule Notes

Shifts are 4x10 hours (7:30 AM to 6 PM), with holiday coverage as needed. On-call duties approximately every 4-5 weekends (Friday-Sunday) and approximately 3-4 call shifts per month. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of Interventional Radiology experience, acute care experience, ability to titrate drips, manage patients on ventilators, and provide conscious sedation. Responsibilities also include assisting with Interventional Radiology procedures performed in IR, CT scan, and ultrasound.
