Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry, Stepdown

Shift Details

Full-time position consisting of 36 hours per week. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in medical-surgical and telemetry settings.
• Comfortably float to the Emergency Room as needed.
• Manage acute patient populations, including critical medications and infusion drips.
• Utilize Bipap and critical care gtt effectively.

Requirements

• Current Iowa RN license is required; must apply for an Illinois RN license upon job offer.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg and Stepdown nursing is required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records is mandatory.
• Ability to handle patient ratios ranging from 1:2-3 to 1:6 based on patient acuity.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Completed skills checklist within one year of submission is necessary.
• References: One supervisory reference is required during the application process.

Certification Requirements

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• NIHSS

License Requirements

• Iowa RN license is required, and applicants must apply for an Illinois RN license when offered.
• Compact licenses are allowed.
