Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled OR Tech / Surgical Tech with experience in Trauma Level I and Neurosurgery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures across various specialties, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and adherence to aseptic techniques. This position requires travel experience, as well as the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekdays and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgical teams in various procedures including Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, and General Surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring proper preparation and maintenance.
• Participate in patient care and support initiatives within the OR setting.
• Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare team members to ensure efficient surgical workflow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Preferred experience in Level I Trauma and Neurosurgery.
• Knowledge of EPIC charting system is preferred.
• Certification in BLS is required.
• Experience in multiple surgical specialties such as ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns is preferred.

Work Schedule

This is a day shift position, operating on a 4x10-hour schedule (06:30 - 23:30), with a requirement for weekend shifts and call coverage as needed. Specific call hours include:

• Monday to Friday: 21:00 - 06:30
• Saturday and Sunday: 12-hour shifts from 06:30 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 06:30.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to handle complex surgical instruments and maintain competence without breaks.
• Additional experience in Burn, Transplant, and other relevant specialties is highly valued.
• Willingness to support weekend on-call readiness is essential.

Patient Demographics

Experience with patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, is expected.
