Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of CVOR scrub experience and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

• Unit: CVOR
• Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)
• Call Required: Yes, 1500-0700, with weekend call every third week
• Patient Ratios: 1:yes
• Number of Rooms: 3
• Orientation Hours: 36

Patient Demographics

This position will involve working with adult and geriatric patients, ranging from their 20s to 90s.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS, CNOR (preferred)
• Skills: Experience with robotics and cardiothoracic robotic surgery (preferred)

Clinical Procedures

The Registered Nurse will be involved in a variety of procedures, including but not limited to:

• Atrial Septal Defect Repair
• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Mitral Valve Replacement
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Aortic Aneurysm Repair
• Carotid Endarterectomy
• And various other cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures

Interdisciplinary Support

The CVOR team works collaboratively with various departments, including Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Transportation, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
