Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist

Position Overview

An MRI Technologist is needed to perform various MRI procedures efficiently in a dynamic healthcare environment. The role involves setting up, scanning, and processing MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires effective communication with radiologists, physicians, patients, and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures, including the setup, scanning, and processing of images.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other medical staff regarding patient care.
• Administer and prepare contrast media as necessary for procedures.
• Conduct quality control and reporting tasks to maintain the highest standards of imaging.
• Coordinate and maintain day-to-day schedules for MRI services.
• Assist radiologists in various imaging procedures and patient interactions.
• Operate and maintain MRI and auxiliary equipment according to safety protocols.

Shift Details

Shift: 4x10 Hour Weekday Nights (5:30 PM - 3:30 AM) - Monday to Thursday

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in MRI technology.
• Certifications:
  • ARRT MR
  • ARRT R
  • BLS
  • Washington State License in MRI Technology
• Additional Skills:
  • Proficiency in abdomen and pelvis imaging techniques.
  • Capable of performing various specialized imaging procedures.
  • Experience with MRI equipment from major manufacturers (GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba).

Work Environment

The MRI department operates 24/7 and provides care for both inpatients and outpatients. The department utilizes advanced technology, including the Toshiba Vantage Titan 1.5T magnet, and adheres to ACR imaging and safety guidelines. A commitment to quality and patient outcomes is essential.
