Position: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for surgical care and a commitment to patient outcomes.

• Shift: Night shifts (3x12-hour) from 19:00 to 06:30

• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
• Trauma Level I Experience: Preferred

Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Preferred
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Preferred
• Skills:
  • Gynecology (e.g., hysterectomy, laparoscopy)
  • Plastics (e.g., mastectomy, flap reconstruction)
  • Trauma (e.g., amputations, burns)
  • Neurology (e.g., cervical fusion, craniotomy)
  • General Surgery (e.g., appendectomy, hernia repair)
  • Orthopedic Surgery (e.g., joint replacement, fracture repair)
  • Endoscopic Procedures (e.g., bronchoscopy, colonoscopy)
  • Ophthalmology (e.g., cataract surgery, eye trauma)
  • Robotic Surgery (various specialties including gynecology and urology)

Work Environment

This position includes working in a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room with a daily census of approximately 45-50 surgical procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to float to different units within the organization as needed.

Patient Population

The Registered Nurse will care for patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Weekend Shifts and Call Requirements

• 3 weekend shifts required per 13 weeks
• Call hours:
  • Monday to Friday: 21:00 - 06:30
  • Saturday and Sunday: 0630 - 1900 and 1900 - 0630
