Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This full-time position is based in a short-term acute care facility and offers a dynamic work environment with diverse patient populations.

Travel Experience Required:

No travel experience is required for this position.

Shift:

Day shifts consisting of 3x12-hour rotations (07:00 - 19:00) with block scheduling.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care to patients across various settings, including Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Pediatrics.
  • Administer medication and perform procedures as required, including nebulizer treatments, aerosol therapy, and tracheostomy care.
  • Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation and perform high-risk delivery assistance.
  • Interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) and perform basic EKG as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Social Services, and Pharmacy to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
  • Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
  • Community hospital experience is preferred.

Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Preferred
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Preferred
  • Washington State License - Required

Skills:

  • Aerosol setups, including mask and tracheostomy configurations.
  • Medication administration for various respiratory medications.
  • Ventilator management, including BiPAP and CPAP troubleshooting.
  • Airway management and suctioning procedures.
  • Trauma care, including support during emergencies.

Patient Age Groups:

Patient Care Overview:

On average, the RRT will manage approximately 60 patient visits per day across various age groups, providing specialized care tailored to individual needs.
