Description
Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This full-time position is based in a short-term acute care facility and offers a dynamic work environment with diverse patient populations.
Travel Experience Required:
No travel experience is required for this position.
Shift:
Day shifts consisting of 3x12-hour rotations (07:00 - 19:00) with block scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to patients across various settings, including Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Pediatrics.
- Administer medication and perform procedures as required, including nebulizer treatments, aerosol therapy, and tracheostomy care.
- Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation and perform high-risk delivery assistance.
- Interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) and perform basic EKG as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Social Services, and Pharmacy to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
- Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
- Community hospital experience is preferred.
Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Preferred
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Preferred
- Washington State License - Required
Skills:
- Aerosol setups, including mask and tracheostomy configurations.
- Medication administration for various respiratory medications.
- Ventilator management, including BiPAP and CPAP troubleshooting.
- Airway management and suctioning procedures.
- Trauma care, including support during emergencies.

Patient Care Overview:
On average, the RRT will manage approximately 60 patient visits per day across various age groups, providing specialized care tailored to individual needs.
