Job Opportunity

Position: X-Ray Technician

We are seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in radiology and cardiology within a large hospital setting, with a preferred focus on non-teaching hospitals. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality imaging services while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality X-ray procedures on patients across various age groups, including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure accurate positioning of patients for imaging to maximize diagnostic quality.
  • Maintain proper sterility and cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
  • Administer contrast media and prepare patients for imaging studies as required.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in on-call shifts as necessary, contributing to team availability for emergency services.

Shift Information:

Shift: Day, 5x8-hour schedule (08:30 - 17:00) with required availability on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).

Qualifications:

  • Radiologic Technologist license in Oregon.
  • ARRT Certification (R) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Fluoroscopy Permit is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a large facility hospital is preferred.
  • Proficiency in various imaging techniques including abdomen, spine, chest, and extremities.
  • Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficient in conducting various types of X-ray examinations including ABD and GI studies, fluoroscopy studies, and mobile procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols.
  • Experience with pediatric and adult care is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with GE, O-ARM, and Phillips equipment is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care Teaching Hospital.
  • Total Staff Beds: 536.
  • Daily patient census: Approximately 475, with around 280 visits per day.
  • No parking fees for staff.
