Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Level 1 Trauma Operating Room. This fast-paced environment performs a diverse array of surgical procedures, including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant surgeries.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Shifts: 3 weekend shifts required per 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care during surgical procedures.
• Circulate and scrub in OR, focusing on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience.
• Experience in Level 1 trauma centers with extensive scrub experience.
• Proficient in the use of EPIC for patient records.
• Current BLS certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) procedures.
• Background in GU (Genitourinary) surgeries.
• Experience in Plastics and Burn surgeries.

Work Environment

The Operating Room consists of 18 beds and handles approximately 45-50 surgical procedures daily across various specialties. Nurses may be required to float to different units within the organization as needed.

This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
