Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team in a Day 5x8-Hour shift setting. This role involves performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures while ensuring the highest levels of patient care and safety.

- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)
- Float Required: Yes (To outpatient department, a block away)
- Call Required: Yes (Details to be discussed with the manager)
- Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: Only call
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine is required.
Charting System
Preferred: Epic
Certifications
Required certifications include:
- ARRT N
- NMTCB or CNMT (preferred)
Skills
Key skills include:
- Bone Scanning (3 Phase, Limited, Whole Body, Myocardial)
- Exercise/Rest Procedures
- Gastric Emptying
- HIDA Scan
- PET Scan
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Storing/Handling/Disposal of Radioactive Materials
- Thyroid Studies (Uptake Scan)
- Lung Scan (Ventilation/Perfusion)
Equipment Experience
Experience with the following equipment is preferred:
- GE
- Siemens
Professional Knowledge and Skills
- Adherence to isolation precautions and use of PPE
- Interdisciplinary support from IV Teams, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
Orientation
40 hours of orientation will be provided.
