Description
Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Shift Details
- Shift Type: Nights
- Shift Times: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM
- Hours per Day: 12
- Weekly Hours: 36 (Consideration for 48 hours available)
Job Responsibilities
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will be responsible for providing critical respiratory care to patients in a fast-paced medical environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine respiratory needs
- Administering prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies
- Monitoring patient progress and response to treatment
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to create care plans
- Providing education to patients and families regarding respiratory health
Qualifications
- Current New York State License
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification
- Associate's Degree from an accredited respiratory care program
- Proficiency in critical care respiratory procedures
- Current certifications in:
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Experience Requirements
Minimum of one year of work experience in a relevant role with specific experience in Labor and Delivery, as well as Neonatal Resuscitation.
