Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Med Surg/Telemetry to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in a step-down unit environment and requires a commitment to patient-centered care.

Shift Details:

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to step-down patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor patients' conditions and respond to changes promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to implement patient care plans.
• Assist in the management of telemetry monitoring systems.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Float to the Emergency Department as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of step-down unit experience required.
• Current and valid BLS certification from AHA.
• Current and valid ACLS certification from AHA.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Active Iowa state nursing license (compact license allowed).
• Willingness to float to the Emergency Department.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility, or local candidates from Madison with a rate reduction.
