Description
Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position in a large academic medical center located in Ohio. The role requires a commitment to providing exceptional respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients.
Job Details
- Shift: Night Shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
- Availability: Weekends required
- Floating: Required to float between campuses as needed
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in respiratory therapy
- Travel Experience: Preferred
- Certifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) preferred
- Ohio State License required
- Education: High school diploma and college diploma or transcripts required
Key Skills
Successful candidates will possess skills in the following areas:
- Medication Delivery Systems
- Aerosol setups (mask and trach)
- Ventilator Management (BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting alarms)
- Airway Management (extubation, nasal and oral airway placements)
- Oxygen Therapy (High Flow Nasal Cannula, trach collar)
- Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
Patient Care Areas
- Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
- Common Diagnoses: COPD, Asthma, Cancer
- Work Settings: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, Med/Surg Floors, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Special Equipment
Preferred experience with Hamilton ventilators and GE ventilators.
