Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a specialty in Interventional Radiology. The candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care within a cardiovascular lab environment, requiring both catheterization lab and interventional radiology experience.

• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00)
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years required
• Patient Ratios: Days: 1:3-4, Nights: 1:3-4, Weekends: 1:3-4
• Orientation Hours: 16

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub during procedures within both the diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab.
• Provide interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation.
• Monitor patients using modalities such as Pulmonary Artery Lines and Swan Ganz monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with established protocols during urgent and emergent procedures.

Qualifications

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (preferred)
• Skills: Professional knowledge and skills, circulatory procedures, telemetry, and triage (preferred)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a CATH lab and IR environment required, with experience in providing emergency STEMI call.

Work Environment

The department consists of interventional radiology, invasive cardiology, and electrophysiology (EP) device implant procedures, with an 85% focus on IR. Weekday lab hours are from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with 24/7 call coverage for STEMI, emergent, and urgent procedures.

• Special Equipment Used: MAC Lab, IVUS, Toshiba Angio Lab, Angio Jet, Pneumbra Thromblis System, Bovi Implantation System, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, and S2000 Ultrasound Unit.
