Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care in an outpatient setting. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with support staff to ensure effective patient care.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (flexibility to work 8 to 10 hour days)
• 40 Hour Weekly Guarantee
• Weekend Requirement: One Sunday per month

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functions through formal and informal testing methods to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular health.
• Design and implement goal-specific treatment regimens tailored to assessment data and individual patient tolerance levels.
• Create written treatment plans to be integrated with physician-approved treatment strategies, updating plans as needed to reflect any changes in patient status.
• Organize treatment schedules that detail frequency and duration, ensuring coordination with patients, families, and clinical support staff.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, treatment options, prognosis, and methodologies that include rest, exercise, modalities, and other interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of Physical Therapy experience is required.
• Pediatric experience is required.
• Acute care experience is highly preferred.
• Active Michigan Physical Therapist License is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
