Job Opportunity

Position: Stroke Program Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Stroke Program Coordinator with a background in neurology. This position is located in Seattle, WA, and offers a day shift schedule of Monday to Friday, with no weekend, holiday, or night shifts required.

Travel Experience Required: Yes

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred.
Proficiency in charting systems, specifically Epic.
Certifications: BLS and NIHSS (certifications marked with * are preferred).
Experience in stroke program coordination is mandatory.
Code response experience is essential.
Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate stroke program initiatives and ensure compliance with stroke protocols.
Conduct heavy chart audits and abstraction, utilizing Epic to track guidelines for monitoring programs.
Provide 8 hours of stroke education (NIHSS counts for 3 hours; additional education should be within the last rolling year).
Float to multiple campuses as necessary, with 80% of time spent at the primary location.
Engage with team members to ensure optimal workflow for stroke-related services.
Utilize software tools including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.

Additional Information:

Pre-approved time off is limited to one request.
This position includes no hands-on patient care.
Training on HealthStream modules will be provided for required stroke education.
Potential candidates should be prepared to float between assigned campuses.
