Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Med Surg and Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will be an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, contributing clinical expertise and providing high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to manage patient care.
• Float to different local campuses as needed within the same discipline.

Shift Details

• Start Time: 0645
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• On Call Requirements: Not applicable

Orientation sessions are available on the following dates in 2026:

• January: 12, 26
• February: 9, 23
• March: 9, 23
• April: 6, 20
• May: 4, 18
• June: 1, 15, 29
• July: 13, 27
• August: 10, 24
• September: 8 (Tuesday), 21
• October: 5, 19
• November: 2, 16, 30
• December: 14, 28

Required Qualifications

• Two years of prior nursing experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines.
• Familiarity with medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban, with some experience in titration.
• Must possess an active State License in Illinois; licensure in Iowa can be pending at the start of employment.
• Not previously employed within the last 12 months.

Facility Information

This position is located in Rock Island, IL, which serves as a Level 1 trauma center. Nearby facilities include Sioux City (Level 3), Bettendorf (Level 3), Fort Dodge (Level 3), Moline (Level 2), and Muscatine (Level 4) trauma centers.
