Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide respiratory and neuro diagnostics services, demonstrating expertise in critical care settings. This position requires the ability to work night shifts (19:00 - 07:00) on a block schedule, with a patient care ratio of 1:3.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy services, including medication administration and ventilator management.
• Assist in neonatal and pediatric care, including intubation and high-risk delivery support.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and manage equipment such as CPAP and BIPAP systems.
• Monitor and document patient progress through electronic charting using Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Washington State Respiratory Therapist License.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT (preferred), NRP, PALS.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, including family maternity and OB experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with adult critical care and emergency department settings.
• Proficiency in managing complex medication delivery systems and aerosol treatments.
• Tracheostomy care and management, including suction techniques and nebulizer therapies.

Work Environment

This position is located in a Critical Access Hospital with a total of 25 staffed beds. The facility promotes a supportive and educational environment for its staff.

Additional Details

• Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• The position may require floating between two sister facilities located within a 30-minute drive.
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, with a total of 6-7 weekend shifts per contract.
• Pre-approved time off request policy permits a single request.
