Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time position in a large academic medical center located in City, State. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in providing comprehensive respiratory care in a variety of clinical settings, including adult critical care and emergency department environments.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Float Required: Yes (may float to East Hospital at the facility's discretion)

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years
• Certifications:
  • ACLS*
  • BLS
  • CRT*
  • Ohio State License
  • RRT

Preferred Skills

The following skills are preferred for this position:

• Adult Critical Care
• Emergency Department Procedures
• Proficient with Medication Delivery Systems
• Competence with a variety of Aerosol Setups (mask and trach)
• Medication Administration (e.g., Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent)
• Ventilator Management (e.g., BiPAP, CPAP)
• Airway Management Devices and Suctioning
• Pulmonary Hygiene Techniques
• Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)*

Patient Care Settings

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing respiratory therapy services to the following patient age groups:

• Adults
• Geriatrics

Patient Diagnoses

This role will involve care for patients with the following conditions:

• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
• Asthma
• Cancer

Special Procedures/Unit Details

The chosen candidate will work primarily on Med/Surg floors and PCU, utilizing specialized equipment to deliver high-quality respiratory care. Preferred ventilator experience includes Hamilton devices.
