Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including but not limited to bone scans, myocardial imaging, and thyroid studies. This position is crucial for diagnosis and treatment planning within the healthcare system.
Work Schedule
- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)
- Block Schedules: No
- Weekend Shifts: Only call required
- Orientation Hours: 40
Qualifications
- Years of Experience: 2 years
- Certifications:
- Preferred: ARRT N, ARRT N and/or NMTCB, CNMT, NMTCB
- Skills:
- Bone Scans: 3 Phase, Limited, Whole Body
- Myocardial Imaging: Exercise/Rest-Multiple Procedures
- Other Procedures: Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, PET Scan
- Equipment: GE, Siemens
Professional Knowledge and Skills
- Isolation Precautions and Use of PPE
- Starting and Maintaining IVs
- Handling and Disposal of Radioactive Materials
- Thyroid Studies including Uptake Scan
- Lung Scan: Ventilation/Perfusion
Facility and Support Services
Work settings include hospitals with interdisciplinary support from:
- IV Teams
- Interpretation Services
- Radiology
- Lift Teams
- Rapid Response Teams
- Pharmacy
Additional Information
- Travel Experience: Not required
- Float Requirement: Yes, to outpatient department, a block away
- Call Requirements: Yes, to be discussed with the manager
- Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 request
