Position: Outpatient Electrophysiology Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse to support our EP Device Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care within an ambulatory cardiology setting, specifically focused on adult cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the EP Device Division by utilizing MURJ for remote reports and alerts.
• Assist back office Medical Assistant teams with higher-level patient inquiries.
• Triage urgent patient symptoms effectively.
• Supervise Stress Tests for patients in the clinic.
• Conduct consultations and follow-up visits for adult cardiac patients.

Position Details

• Location: Outpatient Facility, City, State
• Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday (5x8 hour shifts from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM)
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in a relevant nursing role
• Patient Age Groups: Adults
• Number of Visits Per Day: Approximately 100
• Number of Rooms: 18

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.
• 1 year of experience is required; EP experience is preferred, but Cath Lab or CVICU experience will also be considered.
• Preferred certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS).

Skills

• Proficient in activated clotting time (ACT) monitoring.
• Experience with cardioversion and medications, including antiarrhythmics and antihypertensives.
• Knowledge of radiation and laser safety is preferred.
• Strong IV therapy skills, including starting and maintaining IVs.
• Interdisciplinary support skills, with the ability to utilize interpretation services as needed.

Additional Information

No weekend shifts are required, and travelers will not need to float between like units. Local candidates are welcome to apply. The role will begin as soon as possible, with a two-week start preferred. Candidates must have their license in hand within two weeks of applying.
