Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry settings. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional care to patients, particularly those with renal and limb preservation needs. The shifts available are during the night, constituting 3 x 12-hour shifts.

• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approximately 39.6 patients

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required. The ideal candidate should have experience in telemetry, the ability to interpret dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias.

Certifications

• Required: BLS
• Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS

• Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management

Work Environment

The unit focuses on care for renal and limb preservation patients, including those with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), acute renal failure (ARF), vascular procedures, congestive heart failure (CHF), diabetes, and diabetic foot ulcers. An interdisciplinary team comprising hospitalists, RNs, dietary staff, physical and occupational therapists, pharmacy, and more collaborates to provide optimal patient care.

Additional Information

Float requirements may apply. This position will involve working directly with patients in a dynamic environment, necessitating teamwork and effective communication. Candidates will need to pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.
