Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a night shift position involving 3x12-hour shifts, with an emphasis on critical care and respiratory therapy for adult and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer aerosol therapy using various setups, including handheld, T-piece, and trach collar options.
• Provide effective medication delivery systems, including metered dose inhalers (MDI) and nebulizers.
• Manage ventilator support, including BiPAP and CPAP therapies, as well as troubleshooting mechanical ventilation alarms.
• Perform airway management procedures including extubation, nasal and oral airway placements, and suctioning.
• Conduct pulmonary hygiene care through sputum specimen collection and tracheostomy management.
• Interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) results to inform clinical decisions.
• Participate in patient care within the Med/Surg floors and Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Handle a patient caseload that includes diagnoses such as COPD, asthma, and cancer.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Valid Ohio State License and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma and college diplomas/transcripts are required.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.

Work Environment:

This position involves floating between campuses and working across various settings, including Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department areas. You will be responsible for managing advanced respiratory therapy equipment and participating in various procedures as needed.

Agency staff will have access to various parking permits. Options include dedicated garage access and surface lots, with shuttle services provided to the medical center.
