Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The role primarily involves circulating in a variety of service lines and supporting surgical procedures in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00)
• Block Schedules: Yes
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekend Shifts Required: 2-3 shifts per contract
• Number of Operating Rooms: 12

Travel Experience Required:

No

Certifications Preferred:

• ACLS
• BLS

Essential Skills:

• Circulating total joints and robotic general and urology cases
• Laparoscopic general, gynecological, and colorectal procedures
• Infection control and blood product management
• Effective specimen handling and labeling
• Proficient in computerized documentation
• Knowledge of universal protocol (time out) procedures
• Expertise in wound management
• Understanding of radiation, laser, and fire safety protocols

Specialized Skills: (Preferred)

• Thoracotomy
• Robotics expertise including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Orthopedic surgeries such as total joint replacement
• Special procedures including cystoscopy and prostatectomy

Work Setting:

The position is based in a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center, providing an array of surgical services.

Additional Requirements:

On-call duties are anticipated, including 1-2 weeknights and one weekend shift every six weeks. Competency in scheduling surgical cases and circulating different service lines is essential.
