Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

Shift Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
• Random day off during the week; scheduling cannot be guaranteed to be blocked.
• Holiday rotation: Required to work 1 night per week and every third weekend.

Weekend and On-Call Requirements

• Availability to be on-call for one night each week and every third weekend.
• Weekend on-call shifts from 7:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care within the Cath Lab, including circulating and scrubbing duties.
• Assist with structural heart procedures and other cardiac catheterization lab activities.
• Floater requirement: Must be willing to float across all Des Moines campuses to similar units as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of recent experience in a Cardiac Cath/CCL setting.
• Experience with structural heart procedures is required.
• Experience with electrophysiology (EP) is highly preferred.
• Travel experience in a nursing capacity is also preferred.
• Must have a strong background as an experienced circulator.
• Certifications: Current ACLS and BLS from AHA or equivalent.
• Must hold an active Iowa license or compact/multistate license at the time of submission.

Orientation and Holiday Requirements

• Orientation date: July 6.
• Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, unless the unit is closed.

Documentation Requirements

• Provide a complete work history/resume demonstrating the required experience.
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab/CC is required.
• Professional references from a charge nurse, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO, no older than 24 months.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
