Job Opportunity

Position Overview

This position requires the candidate to work every other weekend, including holidays, based on the weekend schedule. The working hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Qualifications

A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy
Current NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist
Minimum of 2 years of clinical acute care experience post A.A.S. degree
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates located outside a 100-mile radius
Experience in pediatrics

Responsibilities

Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients
Institute and monitor oxygen therapy for patients
Assist physicians in the initiation and maintenance of continuous ventilation
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Conduct pulmonary function tests
Perform radial arterial punctures
Carry out various patient care functions in the acute care setting with minimal supervision
