Job Opportunity

Position: Cytotechnologist Traveler

We are seeking a dedicated Cytotechnologist Traveler to join our team. This position involves reading PAP and non-GYN slides, along with responsibilities in molecular testing on PAP vials and specimen grossing.

General Objectives:

Demonstrate technical proficiency in all facets of cytology processing, preparation, and staining.
Screen an average of 40 to 80 slides per day.
Assist in specimen collection as required.
Maintain computerized patient records accurately.

Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate from an ABHES-accredited school of cytotechnology or a program approved by Health and Human Services, or meet the qualifications set by CAP for Cytotechnologists.
Cytotechnologist CT (ASCP registration) is required.
An associate degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Cytotechnologist.
Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the cytotechnology department.
Ability to screen an average of 60 to 80 slides per day, adhering to limits set by CAP and the Pathologist.
Consistently align diagnoses within one grade of Pathologist or Consultant diagnosis.

Shift Information:

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5-8 hour shifts.

Holiday Coverage:

No holiday coverage required.
