Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This position involves caring for critically ill patients and occasionally floating to the Emergency Department (ED), Medical/Surgical unit, or Pediatrics as needed based on census levels. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong nursing skills and the ability to work independently while providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient nursing care to individuals of all ages in the ICU.
• Administer various nursing care procedures following doctors' orders and hospital policies.
• Support after-hours recovery of post-operative patients from general surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrics as required.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of prior ICU experience is required.
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Must possess and maintain a current, unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice in any state of the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (must be completed within six months of hire).
  • Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) (must be completed within six months of hire).
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) (must be completed within six months of hire).

Shift Information

All shifts are available, and holiday coverage will be required as part of this role.
