Job Opportunity

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist with experience in acute care settings. The role requires expertise in evaluating and treating patients across various departments, including Acute Care, Medical, ICU, and Inpatient Rehabilitation.

Details

  • Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00)
  • Years of Experience: 1 year
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Floating Required: Yes, between acute, medical, ICU, and Inpatient Rehab Units
  • Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
  • Weekend Rotation: 1 weekend every 4 weeks
  • Patient Ratios: 8-9 patients per day

Required Qualifications

  • Valid WA Occupational Therapy License
  • Experience in an acute care setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation
  • Familiarity with specific modalities and skills including:
    • Edema Massage
    • Kinesiotaping
    • Prosthetics/Orthotics
    • Functional Splints
    • Orthoplast
    • Static Splints

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with various diagnoses including multi-trauma, TII, SCI, CVA, surgical procedures, orthopedic conditions, Parkinson's Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality patient care and achieve productivity standards.
  • Adapt to various work areas within the hospital and manage time effectively.
  • Maintain flexibility to accommodate additional patient needs as they arise.

Work Environment

The facility is a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds. The environment promotes teamwork and seeks an individual who is not only a hard worker but also friendly and outgoing.
