Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This role necessitates a commitment to holistic patient care, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practices tailored to individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, children, adults, and older adults.
• Perform nursing assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, and identify expected outcomes for each patient.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and enhance patient care.
• Revise and implement patient care plans based on ongoing assessments and outcomes.
• Engage in shared accountability for nursing practices and contribute to decision-making processes.
• Maintain high standards of care, demonstrating leadership qualities, and promoting a caring environment.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with fresh open heart surgery patients is required.
• Proficient in interpreting cardiac rhythms.
• Experience with Impella and balloon pumps is preferred.
• Experience working with adult and geriatric populations is required.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records, particularly Epic, is essential.

Schedule:

This position requires a commitment of 56 hours over a 2-week period, including every other weekend. There are no on-call requirements.

Facility Overview:

The facility operates two hospital locations and a network of clinics, providing comprehensive healthcare services across multiple counties. It is recognized for its exceptional trauma care and women and children's services, including specialized units such as Neonatal Intensive Care Units.

Dress Code:

Galaxy blue scrubs are required as part of the uniform.

• Nonbillable hours apply as per departmental policies.
