Position: Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist for a contract position of a minimum of 13 weeks. The role is located in Decorah, Iowa.

Key Responsibilities:

The Surgical Technologist will work alongside surgical teams, providing support in a variety of surgical procedures including:

• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
• Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN)
• Podiatry
• Urology
• Dental

Job Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training
• Surgical Technologist Certification is preferred
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility while on-call
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required

Schedule:

The position primarily includes 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Hours may vary slightly based on surgery caseload, with potential start times as early as 6:00 AM.

On-call rotation is expected, approximately 1 night per every 2-week pay period, and every 5th to 6th weekend. Holiday call rotation is also included.

Experience:

A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist is required.
