Job Opportunity: MRI Tech

Overview

We are seeking a skilled MRI Tech to join our team in a dynamic short-term acute care setting. This position involves providing high-quality imaging services in various clinical environments.

Position Details

• Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (09:30 AM - 08:00 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Some weekends required, specifically Saturday evenings
• Orientation Hours: 40 hours

Responsibilities

The MRI Tech will be responsible for:

• Performing MRI scans on patients following standard procedures and protocols
• Positioning patients appropriately to obtain optimal imaging results
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Radiology
• Administering contrast media when necessary
• Utilizing advanced imaging techniques and procedures to ensure diagnostic quality
• Maintaining a safe and sterile environment in compliance with isolation precautions

Qualifications

• Education & Certifications: Required certifications include ARRT MR, BLS, and a valid state license
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in MRI tech, with a preference for experience in acute care settings
• Technical Skills: Proficient in abdomen, pelvis, brain, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging techniques
• Charting System: Familiarity with Epic charting system required

Equipment Used

• GE MRI machines
• PACS systems

Additional Information

Expected patient-to-tech ratios are 1:1, ensuring personalized care for each patient. This role will also involve flexibility to cover for planned time off of team members.
