Position: Physical Therapist (PT)

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our dynamic therapy department within a Critical Access Hospital located in Anchorage, AK. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to patients across a variety of settings, including outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing facilities, with a focus on acute care and rehabilitation.

Job Details

• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00)
• Years of Experience: 1 year preferred
• Certifications Required: BLS, AK License
• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 6-8 patients
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Float Requirement: Yes - coverage includes outpatient, acute care, and some SNF responsibilities
• First Timers: Accepted

Essential Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Assessment and treatment of orthopedic injuries (e.g., ankle sprains, low back pain, total joint replacements)
• Knowledge in pediatrics, including cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and milestone assessment
• Experience with modalities such as E-stim, diathermy, and traction
• Strong documentation skills for assessments, plans of care, and goals
• Ability to educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety practices
• Adaptability to various clinical environments and patient populations

• Trauma Level: Level IV Trauma
• Total Staffed Beds: 46 Acute Care, 22 Long Term Care

Housing and Vehicle Information

The facility provides housing and a rental vehicle for travelers during the assignment:

• Housing will typically consist of one-bedroom apartments.
• Housing units will be available for move-in no earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and no longer than 24 hours after the contract ends.
• Rentals are available for use around town only, and must not be taken off-road or beyond a 30-mile radius from the facility.
• The housing unit must be cleaned upon departure to avoid additional fees.
