Position: X-Ray Technologist

Shift Information:

This position requires night shifts from 1830 to 0700, totaling 36 hours per week. The role includes participation in a weekend call rotation.

Weekend Requirements:

• Participation in the call schedule is mandatory on weekends.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in a clinical or hospital setting and will possess the necessary certifications and licenses to perform X-Ray procedures. The role involves using advanced imaging equipment and providing high-quality patient care.

Department Information:

The department is equipped with:

• Phillips Diagnostic
• Carestream
• Hologic breast machine
• Phillips portable machines
• Siemens Cysto
• GE OEC C-arms
• Toshiba Fluoro equipment

On average, the department handles approximately 100 patient scans daily across all technologists.

Holiday Requirements:

The contractor is required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day unless the unit is closed.

Qualifications:

• Active ARRT certification is required.
• Minimum of 24 months of X-Ray experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Iowa state radiology license is highly preferred, but non-licensed candidates willing to apply for licensure upon acceptance will be considered.
• Experience with Phillips equipment is highly preferred.
• Experience with Carestream portables is preferred.
• Current or recent Operating Room competency/experience is preferred.
• Experience with GE OEC C-arm equipment is required.
• Experience with Siemens Cysto equipment is highly preferred.
• Fluoroscopy experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Updated work history/resume demonstrating 24 months of current X-Ray experience is required.
• A detailed skills checklist specific to X-Ray must be submitted.
• A professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or director within the last 24 months is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
