Description
Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Columbus, OH
Shift Details
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 16:30)
- Flexible start times: 6:00 AM, 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, and 9:30 AM
- One evening shift and one Saturday required per month
- 26-week contract with restricted time off (RTO) for February and March
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine
- Teaching hospital experience is preferred
- Experience in PET/CT and General Nuclear Medicine is necessary
Certifications
- ARRT N or ARRT R (or NMTCB) - does not require all three
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ohio State License
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to start and maintain IVs
- Experience with PACS
- Familiarity with outpatient settings
- Experience in ICU and EKGs preferred
Patient Demographics
- Adults and Geriatrics
- Pediatric experience is preferred, especially with adolescents
Daily Responsibilities
- Perform approximately 33 PET/CT scans daily
- Conduct whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine imaging
- Utilize 2 PET/CT scanners, primarily for oncologic diagnoses
