Position
Registered Nurse - Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
Location
Dallas, TX
Shift Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 3 shifts of 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
- Block Scheduling: Not applicable
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in hematology oncology.
- Must meet experience requirements within the last 3 years.
- Current specialty experience is required for clinical pass.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) - required
- ACLS - preferred
- Chemotherapy Certification (ONS/ONCC) - required

Work Settings
- Bone Marrow Transplant Unit
- Inpatient Oncology
Patient Care Specialty Competencies
- Caring for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
- Management of graft rejection and graft-versus-host disease.
- Understanding stem cell therapies.
- Knowledge of oncologic emergencies such as sepsis.
Equipment and Procedures
- Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety.
- Experience with telemetry systems and specialized medical equipment.
Additional Information
This position will require potential floating to other MedSurg Oncology units and variable weekend shifts based on unit needs. Orientation hours total 72 hours.

- Interdisciplinary support: Includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more.
