Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cath Lab team. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac catheterization, with a strong focus on scrub procedures. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various cardiac procedures, including but not limited to angioplasty, stent placements, and cardiovascular monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations.
• Perform scrub and monitoring duties during procedures.
• Ensure patient safety through effective monitoring and interventions during clinical procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation using the Epic charting system.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding procedures and post-operative care.

Shift Information

• Schedule: Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:00 - 17:30)
• Call required: Yes, with approximately 8 weekdays and 3 weekends within a 6-week period.

Patient Care

The position primarily focuses on adult patients and involves working in a diagnostic cardiac cath lab, as well as interventional radiology and electrophysiology settings.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac cath lab.
• Experience in scrub procedures with a focus on cardiac catheterization.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS.
• Familiarity with specialized equipment such as EKOS and CSI.
• Ability to perform cardioversion and pacemaker insertions.

Preferred Skills

• IV Start skills.
• Experience with interventional radiology procedures, including stent placements and vascular studies.

Additional Information

Successful candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting the position. Scrubs will be provided. This role requires flexibility to float to nearby facilities as needed.
