Position: Ultrasound General/Vascular Tech
Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform general, abdominal/OB-GYN, and vascular ultrasound procedures. This role requires the ability to perform each responsibility successfully, reflecting the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for success in this position.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality general ultrasound examinations, including abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular studies, adhering to all established policies and procedures.
- Effectively set up and assist the radiologist during procedures.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) to generate and complete exam orders accurately.
- Perform, record, and analyze Quality Control (QC) data to make informed judgments regarding results and take necessary actions to maintain accuracy and precision.
- Ensure a safe and efficient working environment by conducting equipment checks, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and monitoring temperatures in line with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
- Exhibit regular attendance, including punctuality in clocking in and out, and minimizing unplanned time off.
- Maintain clinical competency and current professional knowledge by participating in in-house education, completing competencies, and undergoing training on new protocols and equipment.
- Communicate with service personnel and inform supervisors of any malfunctioning equipment.
- Assist in transporting patients as needed.
- Utilize knowledge of PACS systems to release and transmit images efficiently.
- Notify appropriate personnel about department supply needs to ensure uninterrupted testing.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to enhance patient and staff experiences.
- Propose process improvements to increase operational efficiencies.
- Exhibit and promote company values in daily work and interactions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound.
- RVT registration is preferred.
- RDMS (AB, OB-GYN) certification is preferred.
- BLS certification is required.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Average standing time: 7-8 hours per workday.
- Average walking time: 6-7 hours per workday.
- Frequent bending and stooping: approximately 20-30 times/day.
- Occasional squatting: approximately 20-30 times/day.
- Frequent reaching above shoulder level: approximately 20-30 times/day.
- Ability to carry up to 50 lbs of weight as needed.
- Ability to lift awkward weights of up to 100+ lbs as required.
- Constant use of hands for repetitive actions, including fine dexterity tasks such as typing and filing.
Shift Information
- Full-time position of 32-40 hours per week, with either 8 or 10-hour shifts.
- Holiday coverage may be required.
Minimum Years of Experience
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Modern Healthcare Solutions Job ID #36989992. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 32.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
