Position: Vascular Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: City, State

Shift Details:

• Type: Day Shift
• Schedule: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vascular procedures and must be able to perform endovascular cases independently, without assistance from a cath lab team. This role requires strong clinical skills in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist and perform various vascular surgical procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Administer blood products as needed and handle surgical specimens appropriately.
• Participate in the Universal Protocol (Time Out) process.
• Respond to emergency situations effectively.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in New York.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with 2-3 years in vascular surgery preferred.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
• Certifications: BLS and NIHSS are mandatory.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in performing endovascular procedures independently.
• Familiarity with various vascular surgical techniques such as:
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
• Endovascular Aneurysm Repair
• Carotid Endarterectomy
• TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair)
• Aortocaval and Aortoenteric fistula repair
• Knowledge of emergency management protocols including code response and malignant hyperthermia.

Work Environment:

• Must be comfortable in a variety of settings including CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR.
• Experience with trauma cases is preferred.

On-Call Requirements:

• One weekday call per week and weekend call once a month from Friday to Sunday.

Patient Care:

• Care for adult patients undergoing vascular procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Contract Details:

• Contract length: 9 weeks with the possibility of extension.
• Start date: 6/16/2026
