Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Shift Details:

Schedule: 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 36 hours per week

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for performing cardiopulmonary evaluations, providing respiratory care, administering life support, and educating patients, their families, and the public. This role involves working with both inpatients and outpatients of all ages, addressing deficiencies and abnormalities within the cardiopulmonary system while adhering to established protocols or physician prescriptions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver respiratory care services across all hospital areas.
• Conduct evaluations and implement treatments based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory health and treatment options.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State License as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Certification in NRP, BLS, PALS, and ACLS
• Completion of an Associate's Degree in an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Critical Care experience is required
• Experience in Labor & Delivery/Neonatal Resuscitation is essential

Additional Information

Training on verbal de-escalation is required prior to onboarding, with options available through Welle or CPI. COVID vaccinations are encouraged but not mandatory.
