Position: Technologist - Echo

Shift Details

This position offers 8-hour shifts with an AM start time, amounting to a total of 40 hours each week. The candidate will be required to work both in the Clinic and at the Main Hospital.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

The candidate will be expected to work every fourth weekend, with holiday rotation required if scheduled. Additionally, there is a requirement to work 1-2 of the upcoming Summer holidays unless the unit is closed.

On-Call Requirements

The role includes being on-call for 1-2 weeknights per week and one weekend of call every fifth weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography procedures with a focus on transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
• Engage with pediatric cases as needed, enhancing the care for younger patients.
• Utilize Phillips and GE equipment for diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of experience in Echocardiography or vascular diagnostics.
• Previous travel experience is required; candidates must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 12 months.
• Experience with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is mandatory.
• Pediatric experience is highly preferred.
• Must have proficiency in using Phillips and GE equipment.

Essential Profile Requirements

• Current work history demonstrating at least 24 months of Echo Technologist experience.
• A skills checklist specifically related to the Echo Technician role.
• A professional reference from a supervisor, nurse manager, or similar authority, preferably within the last 24 months.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Credentialing from Cardiovascular Credentialing International is required.

Certification Requirements

• RDCS or RCS certification is required.
