Position: Registered Nurse - Float Psych RN

Location: Holyoke, MA

Schedule: Full-time, includes every other weekend

Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated health care professionals to join our innovative team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to individuals requiring psychiatric, emotional, and substance use treatments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment grounded in core principles.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to contribute to each patient’s individual treatment plan.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and documenting appropriate goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric needs.

Qualifications

• Education: RN license in the State of Massachusetts required; BSN preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of psychiatric experience required. Previous psychiatric or substance inpatient experience preferred. CPR certification required; experience in restraint reduction and crisis intervention preferred.
• Skills:
  • Critical thinking to make informed decisions and solve problems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities.
  • Ability to utilize a Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care.
  • Capable of developing therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills for Electronic Medical Record usage.
  • Strong crisis management, time management, and team-building abilities.
  • Flexible, creative, and able to remain calm under pressure.
