Description
Job Summary/Purpose
The role involves conducting patient set-ups for overnight sleep studies and recording overnight polysomnographic (PSG) and video recordings of patients' sleep activities for diagnostic evaluation. The individual will coordinate with the Sleep Lab Section leader and supervisor, and administer sleep medications in accordance with established policies.
Department Description
The Sleep Center offers a variety of diagnostic tests aimed at identifying sleep disturbances and neurological-related disorders.
Experience/Education/Qualifications
- Graduate from an American Medical Association (AMA) approved college program or possess one (1) year of experience in polysomnography, neurodiagnostics, or respiratory therapy.
- Current unencumbered Oregon Polysomnographic Technologist (PSGT) License is required.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is required.
- Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Shift Information
Nights (1830 - 0700) every weekend.
Holiday Coverage Required
Yes.
Minimum Years of Experience
