Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated professional to ensure the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff is conducted in a manner that is accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable. The primary customers served include employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, with a strong focus on enhancing customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians, while providing all required documentation on requisitions.
• Establish effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments, and customers to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and adherence to radiation safety practices according to ALARA principles.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of information service systems.
• Provide patient education and thorough documentation to deliver high-quality care for all patient needs.
• Adhere to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing or supervising imaging and radiologic diagnostic procedures.
• Comply with hospital policies and procedures regarding incident reporting.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

Required Education

Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Certifications & Licensure

• NYS Radiology Technologist License
• ARRT(R)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)

Schedule

Proficiency in the operating room is required, along with experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Hospital. The schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts from 15:00 to 23:30, including a weekend rotation every third weekend.
