Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This position requires working nights, with shifts scheduled from 19:00 to 7:00. Candidates must be available every other weekend, including holidays, as per the weekend schedule.

This opportunity is available for candidates located outside a 100-mile radius from the facility, situated in [City, State].

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
• New York State license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical acute care experience post-A.A.S. degree
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

Responsibilities

• Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients
• Institute and monitor oxygen therapy for patients
• Assist physicians in establishing and maintaining continuous ventilation
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• Conduct pulmonary function tests
• Execute radial arterial punctures
• Capable of performing the majority of patient care functions in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision
