Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Shift Details:

3x12 hour shifts; consisting of two day shifts and one night shift per week, totaling 36 hours.

Weekend Requirements:

Every other weekend.

Job Overview:

This position requires an experienced Registered Nurse with a focus on Labor & Delivery. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing patient care from check-in through pre/post-care to discharge.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to demonstrate clinical competence.
• Assess and identify patient needs and problems.
• Establish and implement a comprehensive plan of care.
• Evaluate and modify the patient care plan based on progress.

Specialization in High-Risk Pregnancy Management:

The unit specializes in managing high-risk pregnancies including, but not limited to:

• Preterm labor
• Hypertension
• Diabetes
• Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)
• Prenatal testing
• Amniocentesis
• Childbirth education classes

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery/OB experience.
• Fetal monitoring experience is required.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS (AHA), AWHONN, and NRP are required.

• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Active AWHONN certification.
• Active NRP certification.
