Job Summary

Our Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurses (RNs) are essential in providing crucial care to patients in urgent need. These dedicated professionals must be equipped to manage a variety of emergency situations for patients across all age groups. ED RNs are trained to deal with an array of trauma cases that require prompt and effective decision-making.

The ideal candidates for this role will possess the ability to quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions, prioritizing their injuries and medical needs effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide specialized and innovative nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Quickly assess and prioritize the medical needs of incoming patients.
• Handle a diverse range of emergency situations with professionalism and skill.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 18 months nursing experience in an Emergency Department environment.
• Recent ED experience within the last six months.
• Proven clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Education and Licensure

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or a multi-state compact license.
• Certifications required: BLS-AHA, ACLS, Telemetry, PALS, NIHSS, and CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours).

• English: Read, Write, Speak

Schedule Details

• 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 nights a week.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holidays as needed.
• No float requirement.
• Scrub color: Navy
