Position: Labor and Delivery Surgical Technician

Department: Labor & Delivery (7010)

Qualifications:

Certification as a Surgical Technician
Current BLS Certification
License/Certificate Verification required

Job Description:

The Labor and Delivery Surgical Technician will support the surgical team during labor and delivery. Responsibilities include:

Orientation of new LPN and tech staff transitioning to permanent positions
Stocking and maintaining supplies in delivery and surgical rooms
Assisting with housekeeping duties of rooms and operating rooms post-procedures in collaboration with housekeeping staff (availability may vary during night shifts)
Flexibility to float to other areas when census is low

Work Schedule:

Orientation start date is July 5. The regular schedule will be:

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM with occasional rotations to 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM based on departmental needs

Unit Description:

The unit comprises:

8 delivery rooms
2 triage rooms
2 operating rooms
Adjacent to a 20-bed maternity unit
