Description
Schedule
3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, including every other weekend.
Patient Ratios
Estimated patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical ICU.
- EPIC experience is required.
Certifications Required
- BCLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- AHA certifications only
Skills Required
- Proficiency in intravenous (IV) start.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring.
- Competency in managing ventilators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Proficiency in the EPIC documentation system.
Specialized Experience
Experience in the following areas is highly valued:
- Multisystem Organ Failure
- Respiratory Failure
- COVID-19
- Sepsis
- Post-Cardiac Arrest Care
- Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Liver Failure
- Renal Failure
Special Procedures and Unit Details
- Continuous Glucose Monitoring for Hyperglycemia
- Externalized IV Pumps for COVID-19 positive patients
Special Equipment Knowledge
- NxStage CRRT
- Alaris IV Pump
- GE Cardiac Monitor
- GE Ventilator
- Boom Lift in each patient room
